Are You Paid For Overtime?

It was 8:15 p.m. when I came out of a very interesting meeting with my major client. My mind was still racing with thoughts about a new strategy that I had proposed, and how it could bring in major opportunities for their business growth if applied properly.

But then I suddenly realized the magnificent sunset that was coloring the clear blue sky with a mixture of orange and violet, and it dawned to me that there ware still so many cars on the parking lot.

I was thinking, what are all these people still doing in the office? Why are they not enjoying some leisure time with their friends or family?

How much are you paid for your overtime?

So many people are working so hard for a company without getting paid any extras for the overtime. Some of them enjoy it, and have specific strategies, goals and plans for growing their careers. But most, don’t. Most of them would rather do something else.

They daydream about their hobbies and passions, but never know that it might be possible to make a living out of that. And for the few that are thinking about starting their own business, most generally give up on the dream as soon as they start to calculate the cost of opening a business.

Since I am a consultant specialized in Business Performance Development and Strategic (Re-)Marketing, I generally come into a business that is already existing, and have not much to do with start-ups, unless starting up new strategies and income leverage projects within that business.

But at the moment of writing this report, the economic crisis is still going on and on and on … And keeps being a hot topic all over the world. I just read a very interesting statistic. It said that 63% of the population is $500 a month away from being bankrupt.
